We wanted to take a moment to chat about some things with the community and let you all know what we're up to right now. All goals we had set in our previous community update back in July have been reached.
So let's talk about changes, updates and more upcoming plans.
Removal of gamemodes
Some of you may have noticed that we recently decided to take away the Creative server from Becto.
The main reason that we have closed the gamemode off is because with the small team we currently have, we can't promise to keep giving that gamemode updates.
We believe that every server/gamemode on Becto deserves the same attention as any other, and we just are not able to provide that to the Creative server at this moment.
We want to dedicate all of our time to improving the fully progressive gamemodes on the network and we might be experimenting by closing off more gamemodes in the future until we gain a bigger audience again.
KitPVP maintenance
While the player count on the KitPVP server has been on the lower side, we decided to take that opportunity to put the KitPVP server in maintenance mode and make some updates to the map/features on that server. It should be returning again soon with some changes.
It should be opening up again in a few days from now and we would like to thank you for your patience.
Planned events
Now that almost all gamemodes have recently been reset and reworked, we have taken the time to come up with some amazing events for Skyblock, KitPVP, Prison and Factions. We're still actively planning so stick around for more information about it soon.
Changes to support and Discord
We have noticed that the way we handle support is not ideal for everyone and some players even decide to not open a support ticket due to it being too much effort. We have taken notice of this and are planning to change the way we handle support completely.
Support tickets through our website are not ideal, also not from the staff point of view. It's wonky and doesn't work well. We are going to look into handling all of our support through the Becto Discord with a Discord ticket system/bot. We hope this makes things more simple and easy to understand for all users on our network.
Changes to Survival and Prison
Survival will receive some minor updates, such as hard dungeons and some features that other servers have received on recent resets. If you have any suggestions for the Survival server, please feel free to post them on the forums! We actively look at your suggestions.
Prison has some updates planned too, we will be looking into making the end-game experience more versatile. More prestiges and more unlocks at higher prestiges. You will find more information about that in a future news post.
